In a lot of countries in Asia, life happens in public. This was especially true in India. Last week I went to Vietnam with my parents and saw a weird example of it there. Most things in Vietnam happened at least behind some kind of door. The dentists offices that we saw were in one room with a plate glass window so you could see everything, but they were at least indoors. But it seemed like every corner in Vietnam had a chair, a mirror, and barber supplies. It was kind of weird. The clientele seemed to be across all income brackets. I could not take any good photos of people actually getting a shave or a haircut, but the empty chair seems like a better shot anyway.
