When I don’t have something I really want to say, these posts tend to be a bit of a ramble, but that’s no surprise to any of you I’m sure. Last week we had another visitor!!! Everyone here gets very impressed that we’ve been here a month and a half and we’ve already had two visitors π Now we just need you guys to keep coming so we can keep up our cool reputation π Anyway, my last day of classes ended with meeting up with Colette and her friend Matthew who were on a short holiday from Korea. They were only here 2 days and then on to Singapore…where we will be headed next weekend!

First stop was the famous Jalan Alor for some more delicious street food, for the first time…

SEAFOOD! I actually had Curry Laksa since I’m not big on seafood, but I did indulge in one of the huge oysters….

Of course, I couldn’t let them leave KL without trying…

After a few way too expensive beers at a bar, I had to head home for my parent teacher conferences the next morning. The next day I gave them a tour of our building, our Thursday night market, and then we headed over to our favorite restaurant Spicy, and then to the Petronas towers all lit up at night. I was sad to see them leave for Singapore, but from what I hear it was awesome!

With our visitors gone, and my school term over, I’ve been enjoying a little break over here in KL. We knew it rained here a lot, but the first week we were here, it didn’t rain once! That’s no longer anywhere close to the case. It rains at least once almost everyday. Just for reference:

It’s not surprising traffic is a nightmare whenever it rains during rush hour…Kevin’s commute home yesterday was a nightmare. With English being so widely spoken here, sometimes it’s easy to forget we’re so far from the US. But then there’s stuff like this:

Off to do some Fantasy Football research..Jumpa lagi!
