So Kevin has done an awesome job at keeping you all updated with our travels, and mostly our eating habits, as any Malaysian will tell you, ‘it’s all about the food here’. So I figured I’d do the opposite of last time and just throw in some pictures I don’t think Kevin has used yet with a few captions…
First stop…last real bagels for a while we figure…didn’t realize it would also be the last regularly priced half-way decent COFFEE (currently bitter about the coffee situation here)Detroit Rock Citay!!!! Diego Rivera was well worth the layover. The trials of the working manDear Korea, thank you for being awesome. I can control everything in the room without moving, though I kept forgetting to turn the light on before I went to the bathroom. This motif. That is all.In case you needed further obvious proof that we were in Korea.Korean airlines, sooooo much legroom (even though asian people are small anyway), and the ROLLS. WERE. HOT. Drop the mic, Asia wins. The Borders we found the first day we were here filled with English books. So happy. Also Malaysia is filled with stores that no longer exist in America; Borders, Radio Shack, I’m sure there’s more…Movies and popcorn, it’s the same all over the world…though here they also have caramel popcorn in the theaters, and fish balls.Huge Hari Raya decorations, because Hari Raya is one of the biggest holidays here because, well, it’s the end of fasting for 12 hours a day for an entire month, so I’d be pretty happy too.The towers, because people are really into the towers. Food, the towers, and shopping malls…that’s KL.K loves KL.I loves KL. (See what I did there)Great arial shot of the city at night or tiny scaled model of every building in the city accompanied by a light show and movie detailing all the great buildings and projects coming soon? The towers. From another tower. Because like I said, it’s all about the towers here…They also don’t F around with their signs. Can’t nobody hold us down, oh no…we got to keep on brunchin’…and doing the NYT crossword, before everybody else cause you nerds are all still asleep!Harry Potter book covers in Malaysia, cause I’m the kind of nerd who thinks that’s neat…Fake food…this one’s for Susie…More fake food for Susie..A theme park inside a 10 story mall…13 year-old me eat your heart out….

The fountain outside of the Petronas Towers does a light/music show at night, during which the first song played is “Desert Rose” by Sting.
